Most Instagrammable Cafes and Restaurants in London

by | Jun 12, 2023 | London, Naked Feature

Hello and welcome to the most Instagrammable cafes and restaurants in London. I’ve included Insta hot spots from all-pink favourites to more hidden gems for a luxury look. I’ve travelled from Notting Hill to Richmond to find the best London has to offer for photogenic foodie lovers.

Most Instagrammable Cafes and Restaurants in London

Here’s my top tips for Instagrammable cafes and restaurants with beautiful flower displays, pretty interior design and super cute snacks.

Elan Cafe Knightsbridge, Oxford Circus

I’ll be honest, all of the Elan Cafes are incredible and each one has it’s own pink hued corners following the brands signature style. The Knightsbridge branch (the one with al fresco dining below) and the Oxford Circus branches both have those floral covered walls which, if you’re lucky, will be perfect for your Instagram snaps. If you don’t get the floral wall, don’t despair – you’ll still get the flashy vibe with pretty coffee cups

Sunday in Brooklyn, Notting Hill, London

Aw man. I’ve had some of the best performing posts on Instagram from this underrated, cute AF cafe. Let me explain. The cafe is in Notting Hill on Westbourne Grove and is an American influenced restaurant and diner. It has distinctive minty green and white striped awning and sleek marble tables outside. Inside you’ve got a light, airy and natural feel with wooden tables and plants artfully arranged high on the ceiling for fresh feel. For the food, it is all super Instagrammable brunch vibes but the top of the ‘likes’ has to be the giant pancake. Top tip – sit outside if the light is nice or ask for a window seat (and sit facing the window) inside.

Harry’s Dolce Vita Knightsbridge

One of THE BEST things about this is the location. Yes, I know, that does help make a restaurant an Instagrammable one. Harry’s Dolce Vita has the enviable position of being next to Harrods. It is behind the department store (so not on the busiest side) which means you can get a table outside and watch all of the swish people and flash cars sweeping by. I recommend the Toadstool Dessert to add to your pics with White chocolate, fresh raspberries, mascarpone mousse, iced vanilla parfait and pistachio biscotti crunch served with warm pistachio sauce. Whichever side of the table you sit, you’re guaranteed a great shot. Don’t forget your shades darling!

Coppa Club, Tower Bridge

Oh this is a fantastic location! Who loves being near the iconic Tower Bridge? It is the most beautiful London view and Coppa Club has the best view of it. If you’re inside the restaurant, ask for a window seat for the nice light and go for brunch as it is so good. If you want to push the boat out, go for a pod. You’ll need to pre-book and you’ll need to rustle up a few friends (I think it is up to six). This little weather proof private dining pod has a direct view of Tower Bridge and can be super cool – morning, noon or night for a piece of Instagram content.

Peggy Porschen, Belgravia

This cute, pink bakery has been around for a long time for good reason. The original store has the most recognisable shop fronts on Instagram as it sits on an enviable corner in Belgravia. It has been further enhanced by floral decorations by florist Dickinson and Doris who update the windows every season (think pastel pink witches hats and lilac pumpkins for Halloween). They also have new sweet treats to match, so whenever you visit, you can order the seasonable Instagrammable cupcake. If the weather is good enough, sit outside to people watch and don’t be afraid to ask the lovely staff to take a photo.

Dalloway Terrace

If you like a whimsical Instagrammable vibe, you’ll adore Dalloway Terrace. Named after the wonderful book Mrs Dalloway, this restaurant is always a fairytale. They have brunch at weekends and an a la carte menu from midday in the week. I love their decor, it is always floral themed and intricate which changes seasonally. One of my favourite backdrops was the simple Autumn leaves which gave classic pumpkin spice, cosy jumper fall style.

Royal Opera House, top floor balcony, Covent Garden

This hidden gem is a secret place, a balcony bar high above Covent Garden with the sun streaming in. Just go straight in and head to the top floor and anyone is welcome to go for a drink on the terrace (whether you have a ticket for a show or not). It can get busy so head there early for quiet, crowd free photos. Enjoy the views over London!

The Wolseley, Piccadilly

The best place ever for breakfast. This super buzzy cafe-restaurant is teaming with beautiful people all day long but my favourite is the morning with the light streaming in through their gigantic windows. The decor is beautifully chic, so if you’re looking for a traditional, but very luxury feel, this is the one for you. You’ll love the croissants, the traditional full English Breakfast and the sharp pink grapefruit.

Brasserie Of Light, Selfridges

The first time I went to Brasserie Of Light, it was my birthday, and what a wonderful treat it was! First up there is a giant 24ft glittering crystal encrusted pegasus with a 30ft wingspan hanging on the ceiling which was designed by Damien Hirst. So like, wow. There is also a pink, beautifully mirrored bathroom which is super Instagrammable. It is light, bright, airy and very luxe.

The Wallace Collection, Manchester Square

A surprise entry is The Wallace Collection which is an often overlooked beautiful museum. A hop, skip and a jump from Oxford Street, this picture perfect museum has all the Bridgerton vibes. Once you’ve been around the museum of fabulous artworks, head to the centre courtyard cafe. It is pink, it is pretty and it is very regal. Try a cup of tea and cake or go for an afternoon tea for the full experience.

Duck & Waffle, Heron Tower, London

Anything high up is a winner for me! Duck & Waffle is very high up and therefore has killer views over London.  It’s right next to Liverpool Station and the lift takes you straight up to the 40th floor of the Heron Tower with spectacular views over East London. It is the most magical sunny day and soon the mist clears to show off the city. Through to the restaurant and I ordered the Smoked Salmon Royale with poached hen’s egg, waffle, hollandaise, horseradish, chive with a glass of champagne. Let’s not forget the gorgeous view! Afterwards, there’s the most photogenic bar area. This contemporary setting has stunning views, a beautiful drinks menu, blue and white tiles and Instagram friendly monochrome stairs. My top tip is that you can usually sneak up to this little bar just outside the Duck & Waffle Restaurant for a drink without a reservation – but DO book if you want to make sure you can get in.

Aubaine in Selfridges

Aubaine in Selfridges is literally in the middle of the shoe hall. So you can grab your designer heels and head for lunch straight after. The decor is straight out of Bridgerton with wisteria hanging from the ceiling, romantic white chairs and tables plus soft blue walls with mirrors making it light and airy. A monochrome tiled floor makes it sleek and modern. Go as soon as it opens to get the pick of the tables.

Alto Selfridges

A absolute MUST for a sunny day in London, Alto is high up on the rooftops of Selfridges which is the huge designer department store on Oxford Street. This al fresco spot has super pretty decor which changes with the seasons so expect Italian influenced lemon trees in summer and autumn leaves in winter. Go for lunch or sunset drinks and enjoy all that natural light. They also have a floral covered entrance hall  – I’ve always struggled to get a good shot because of the lighting (you may have better luck than me!) but it is super cute as a video.

The Ivy Chelsea Garden, King’s Road

The Ivy is a must-visit in London and whichever branch you visit, you’ll get a wonderful experience. King’s Road has a special place in my heart as it is where they seem to push the boat out for their flower displays, like at Chelsea Flower Show. I will give the biggest shout out to their wonderful garden which is so special in summer. Dinner in this gorgeous setting is super romantic.

Aqua at The Shard

The best view in the London from Aqua at The Shard. I adore going at sunset – surely the best time ever, with the sort pastel shades lighting up the city. Did you know a ticket to the viewing platform at The Shard is £32? And then drinks and food on top of that…OR pop to Aqua Shard on the 31st floor and it’s £25 minimum spend but free entry. Guess what I did? {I mean still pricey but surely a cost saving!}

Queens of Mayfair, London

Small but perfectly formed this cafe has punchy citrus shades mixed with a cool soothing blue which means it is super Instagram friendly. Extra points for the super cute loos.

Italian Bear Chocolate, Rathbone Place, Fitzrovia

I could only drink half of this! The most indulgent chocolate ever ever with chocolate on the outside of the mug. Called a Triple Chocolate treat. What do you think? Could you drink one?

Grand Saloon, Theatre Royal Drury Lane

How Bridgerton is this gorgeous room at Theatre Royal on Drury Lane? This is the perfect elegant setting for a dreamy Afternoon Tea full of bite size treats and glorious cakes.

Vardo, King’s Road

Perhaps not the most obvious choice, but if you’re on King’s Road and fancy a modern but very London setting, this glass fronted cafe on King’s Road is a great choice in Chelsea. A great place to work, and cracking desserts too!

The 40 Elephants Bar, Great Scotland Yard Hotel, Westminster, London

Hotels in London are known for their extraordinary opulence and Great Scotland Yard Hotel is no exception. It is the kind of place to stop off after work for a fancy cocktail in a luxury setting. There’s a gorgeous chandelier, shiny tables and deep midnight blue hues around the bar. This historic building was the original headquarters of the Metropolitan Police so there are plenty of design quirks to keep you interested, including a hidden whisky bar behind a bookcase door.

Pop Up Cafes and Restaurants

It is always worth checking out the current amazing pop-up restaurants in London as they do have super strong concepts and Instagrammable designs.

Tiffany Cafe

The Tiffany Cafe was one of my favourite pop-ups last year (2022) in the basement of Harrods. I enjoyed an Afternoon Tea complete with a Tiffany Egg dessert in the classic ‘Tiffany blue’ surroundings.

Fendi Cafe

In Harrods in 2019, the Fendi Cafe popped up with a super monochrome look. It was oversize logos on tables and walls plus a chick black and white menus.
